Later in the afternoon we went to the dog park this time Joey tagged along . Joey is my other dog , he was my mothers but she very recently passed away so he is technically mine . He is a five year old shih tzu and weighs around six pounds . Heidi loves him and is a very good big sister .

By the way that is not me in the picture .

Dog Park

Yesterday Heidi and I set off for the dog park . We only really go to play fetch as Heidi has no interest in playing with other dogs . Heidi has a bit of a fetch obbsession , she prefers tennis balls but really anything that can be thrown is fine .

Throw the ball , Throw the ball , Throw the ball

Now the Golden's dont seem to really understand this whole retrieving thing . They will chase after the ball but that's about it . Works out fine for Heidi , no competition .

Above is Joey the Golden Retriever . He is a very pretty boy but well lets just say he's a blond.

New Camera = Lots of Pic's

Finally , a camera that actually works ! It's only been what like three years . I purchased a Kodak EasyShare Z712 Is and so far am very pleased with it . It takes pretty good photo's and was a decent price , great camera for a novice like myself .

So first thing I do is take the camera out of the box , set everything up , grab Heidi and go for a walk to shap a couple pic's . First stop was the park a couple blocks from my house .


Heidi thought having pictures taken of her was lots of fun but you'll notice how her attitude towards the camera changes after a while .

















"Mommy , I'm bored can we please go now"

"Women turn that damn thing off so we can go , now !" So Heidi was getting a little bored at the park posing for the camera so off we went to the dog park which is about a five minute walk from our house . It is pretty much two big empty fields that get cut three or four times a year , so usually the grass is really long . It's not fenced in and has ditches on three sides . Most dog owners hate it because their dogs run out of the park or take a dip in the ditch . Of course that's never been a issue for me , Heidi actually listens . I try to go when it's empty so Heidi and I can play fetch in peace . For some reason Heidi LOVES this park .
